Description
Site safety signs, such as these Danger men working below signs, are a legal requirement. One of a large range of Health and Safety signs, these Danger men working below signs provide a clear warning to personnel of a hazard on the work site and thereby reduce the possibility of potential accidents and injuries on site.
We provide next day courier delivery on all standard safety signs, when orders are placed before 2pm. Delivery is free on orders over £75.
Health and safety signs regulations
The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) – Regulations 1996, requires employers to ensure that safety signs are provided (or are in place). The safety signs should be maintained in circumstances where there is a significant risk to health and safety that has not been removed or controlled by other methods.
The Regulations implement European Council Directive 92/58/EEC on minimum requirements for the provision of safety signs at work. The Directive standardises safety signs throughout member states of the European Union (EU) so that wherever a particular safety sign is seen it provides the same message. The intention is that workers moving from site to site, such as service engineers, will not be faced with different signs at different workplaces.
There are viewing distance guides available on our safety sign buying guide page. These assist in determining the appropriate size of safety signs under various light conditions.
