Description

These arrow signs and Emergency escape signs are provided to guide you from wherever you are in a building, via a place of relative safety to the place of ultimate safety. It must not be assumed that everyone will know all safe routes through the building.

These arrow signs are available in different materials and sizes. Emergency escape signs should comply to BS EN ISO 7010:2012 to ensure maximum levels of comprehension.

The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) – Regulations 1996, requires employers to ensure that safety signs are provided (or are in place). The safety signs should be maintained in circumstances where there is a significant risk to health and safety that has not been removed or controlled by other methods.
The Regulations implement European Council Directive 92/58/EEC on minimum requirements for the provision of safety signs at work. The Directive standardises safety signs throughout member states of the European Union (EU) so that wherever a particular safety sign is seen it provides the same message. The intention is that workers moving from site to site, such as service engineers, will not be faced with different signs at different workplaces.
There are viewing distance guides available on our safety sign buying guide page. These assist in determining the appropriate size of safety signs under various light conditions.
